I have been such a bad blogger recently. Its been over 2 weeks since i last posted!!. Unfortunately life has just got in the way. I had a really big agriculutural show a couple of weekends ago so spent ages making things. It was well worth the effort as i sold loads and it was a busy day all round. On top of that i have agreed to stock my handcrafted items at Botany bay in Chorley (if you have never been and are local check it out its 5 floors of shopping heaven!). Last week was the official launch of my items so i seem to have spent every spare minute (in between working full time and managing family life!)sewing, crafting, candlemaking etc. This coupled with 5 orders for sock monkeys from work plus folksy orders has meant i haven't had a minute to enter blog world. Not only have i not been able to post i also haven't been catching up with whatevery one else has been doing!. Anyway i'm back now and promise to get back to my old routine. So to start with i'll share a few of my recent makes...
Simon the sock monkey. He is now in my folksy shop. if you want to have a go at making one then e-mail me at scratchy.cat@hotmail.co.uk and i'll send you the instructions.
Anyone for tea?
Lili finished school for summer last week so we made some pressies for her teachers. these cookies taste yummy and i love the red polka dot hearts i managed to find to decorate the bags with.
How wonderful to be busy with such great things, hope the Botany bay thingy works really well!
ReplyDeleteThose teacher gifts are lovely, we don't need to worry about those yet, but definitely something to remember, welcome back!
Wow, sounds like everything's going really well! Don't know where you find the time! x
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear everything going well with you and fab to hear that you are so busy with selling your stuff! I posted on your facebook page from mine but not sure if you got it or not. :( Love the teapot!!
ReplyDeleteWell done on selling your stuff, your makes are lovely xx
ReplyDeletereally happy that you are "Too Busy" to blog because you have a successful business going on. Keep up the great work. I love sock monkey. Many years ago I made sock bunnies for Easter for 6 nieces and nephews and 1 for me. Same body as your Monkey with a modified face and ears. 2 Easters ago the new dog tried to eat my bunny, Thankfully they both survived the bunny will never be the same, weight loss an all. Jeep up the good work. Selina
