Its been a funny week

This week has been a funny week.  There have been highs and lows.  My uncle died on sunday.  He didn't live close by so its a few years since i saw him but i really feel for my mum.  My Nan died earlier this year so she has lost her mum and brother in the space of six months.  It makes you realise that life is too short!.  On a more positive note it was Lili's 5th birthday on wednesday and she had a lovely day.  We went to build a bear factory and she picked a new teddy and an outfit (which reminds me i really need to find some patterns online to make build a bear clothes as they are extortionate to buy!!).  We had a lovely birthday tea party but her proper party is this sunday at wellybobs farm.  I have been mad busy making organza party bags for the party and i'll post a pic once i get a minute. I have also been making a few stocking fillers this week and have made some more bags of rudolph noses.

I bought some mini red sparkly baubles and added them for a bit of glam!  My friends little foster boy is 6 on sunday and they are having a party tomorrow.  She asked if i would make party bags for the party so i made these using brown paper bags.  I used picnik to design the green labels.

I recently got asked by my auntie if i would make 2 crayon rolls with matching pump bags.  i thought this hello kitty fabric would be perfect.

Coming soon i have some exciting news but i'm not going to share it today... It has something to do with my header.  I'll share more in a few days.

CRAFTY SUNDAY

Hello my dears well its crafty sunday again already and this week i have had little time to sew so not much to share!.   i did however manage to make this personalised crayon roll.  My auntie asked me to make one for her friends little girl as a present.  Its the first time i have tried any applique and i'm really pleased with the results.

Because she wanted to give it as a present i made a little matching bag to put it in...

CRAFTY SUNDAY

I haven't joined in with crafty sunday for a few weeks as i have been on holiday but this week i have a few things to show.  it has been a manic week with work being really busy and trying to catch up on holiday washing/ironing and fitting in some crafting in between!!!.
Anyway without further a do this weeks makes include some pump bags that i made using gorgeous owl fabric which i just love. i also have it in girly pinks.  I also made co-ordinating crayon rolls.
This pink fabric i have had for a while and couldn't think what to make with it.

This is a one hour ric rac bag which is so easy to make (and it does take less than an hour!!). If you fancy making one the tutorial is here

Craft Fair Makes Part 1

At the moment i don't have much time to blog :-( as i am doing a craft fair on saturday and have quite a few things still to make.  I thought i would share a few of the things i have made so far. I have also made some girls bunting for the first time and i have to say i am really pleased with how it looks. i'll take some pics when i get chance and post them.

I think the cupcake bookmarks are quite sweet so will probably make some more of those for saturday.

CRAFTY SUNDAY

This week has been quite a busy crafting week for a change.  i have managed to make quite a few things although i have shown some of my makes earlier in the week so this is what is left to show.  Starting first with some more crayon rolls.  i love making these as they are so quick and easy and make great gifts.
You probably can't see the background fabric on this but it is a gorgeous cat design which i love.

Next item is a travel document holder for taking on my hols next week

It has our passports zipped away in the pocket and room for our tickets etc in the other side.

A couple of vinyl bags to put our suncreams in (they match the beachbags i showed earlier in the week)

CRAFTY SUNDAY

Howdie everyone,
Its that time of the week when i join in with crafty sunday and agree to share my crafty makes for the week.  Well this week i have made a few things...
Firstly some crayon rolls for my friends childrens birthdays this week.

This one looks wonky but its not its just got padding on the cream seat under it.

Again the roll isn't wonky just the surface isn't flat!
I have to say they were dead easy to make apart from having to keep measuring every inch for the slots there is nothing technical about it.  If you want to try one the link to the tutorial i used is here
I have also made this pegbag out of a teatowel

And this dress for my little girl.....
This week i am planning on making a beach bag for our hols, a smaller beachbag for lili to carry her towel, some scrunchie bobbles from lili's old school polo shirt and mayber a maxi dress for my hols - ok the last one is a very long shot but you never know!!!
